PTT Configuration

COMPRO’s Part Task Trainer (PTT) uses commercial off-the-shelf, Linux®-based hardware and software. Optionally, the PTT can run COMPRO’s high-fidelity Modular Universal Simulation Environment (MUSE™) software.

The trainer consists of a pilot station, an Instructor Operator Station (IOS), and computer cabinet.

The pilot station consists of a cockpit and an Out-The-Window (OTW) visual scene displayed on a color monitor. Hands-on throttle and stick controls are available for radar operations, weapons selection, and firing.

All PTT functional controls, instrument panels, and cockpit hardware used are representative of the actual aircraft parts and reflect the same mechanical characteristics; that is, look, feel, and operate like the actual aircraft component.

Note: Optionally, the PTT can be configured for specific models (such as the F-16C block 30 configurations).

The IOS, which serves as the primary interface to the trainer functions, consists of a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.

The computers, which execute all the necessary and relevant calculations in order to simulate PTT procedures, use commercially available personal computers.
